Having a baby especially after years of torture with infertility is such a blessing! Its a miracle when you finally see that positive pregnancy test!!! When we found out we were pregnant with Mia we didn't want to find out the sex. It killed everyone around us, they wanted to know right away. We stood our ground and always declined when they asked the infamous would like to know the sex of your baby? So we decorated with neutral colors and waited patiently. We had convinced ourselves that it was a boy. The way I was carrying the baby, every old wives tale pointed towards a boy, and every single person that saw me said you are having a boy. So the big day came, after 3 days of labor and 2 hours of pushing, this beautiful baby made an entrance. The nurses stuck around even after their shifts were over because they wanted to know, the room was filled and the midwife says IT'S A GIRL!!!!! My sister and my mom screamed with excitement! Luis and I both said WHAT????? Not that we weren't happy to have this beautiful baby girl in our arms, but after 9 months of thinking it was a boy we were floored!!! It took us about a day to get used to the fact that we now had a baby girl! Of course after 13 years of marriage with no baby you can only imagine the excitement from our friends and family. I kid you not, it wasn't more than a couple hours of announcing that we had a girl when gifts, flowers and balloons filled our hospital room. It was a sea of PINK!!!! Frilly dresses with the ruffles on the butt, and fancy pink blankets. It was hilarious!

Long time no post
I have been pretty bad at posting lately. I have just been really busy and haven't had any appointments to report about. Except for this most recent one on Monday, and really she just heard the baby's heartbeat with the doppler and asked how I was doing. So pretty boring and nothing new to report there. I am however getting really excited because we are going to finally take a vacation!!!! We have been wanting to for a while now, but infertility treatments put a downer on any away time. So we are going to Hawaii!!! Kauai to be exact! Yay!!! One last family vacation before this sweet little baby comes. Our last real vacation was more than 5 years ago when we went to Tahiti. You can NOT top Bora Bora. It will always be my favorite spot!!! We haven't been back to Hawaii since our honeymoon 17 years ago, so it will a nice treat:) We haven't told Mia yet we want to surprise her. She hasn't been on a plane since she was about 9 months old.
