My little sassy pants Mia!

My sister took this picture of Mia today. My entire family went to Disneyland. Luis and I stayed home with Lilah. There is no way I'm taking her there at two weeks old! Anyway they had a blast. Mia was so excited to spend the day with her cousins at the happiest place on earth! I just love her personality she is hilarious always making me laugh just like her dad!!!

My Lilah is such a good baby!!!!

Okay so the first week home was scary!!! I thought Lilah had colic! She was so fussy and gassy and she wouldn't latch on and when she finally did it she would jump off and it would take her forever to get back on! She cried and cried and cried A LOT! it was very frustrating! We slept in shifts because the only way Lilah would sleep for at least an hour or two straight Was on her belly laying on your chest! Then my milk came in and I mean CAME IN FAST!!!! I had a clogged milk duct the size of a golf ball under my arm pit. It hurt like HELL!

That first week was horrible:(

I have to say now that Lilah is getting a lot of milk, the fussing and crying has stopped. She has mastered latching on and she sleeps like a champ!!!! Once we do our last feeding around 11:00 pm she only wakes up once in the middle of the night to eat again:) at least I am getting about 3 hours of sleep at a time:) I can deal with that:)

So glad I was wrong! Now I'm just enjoying staring at this beautiful face of hers watching all of the funny faces she makes in her sleep and I'm so happy to see the love between my two girls!!!! I couldn't be happier:)

Lol!!!! Okay anyone who has been pregnant knows that the worst part about leaving the hospital after having a baby is looking like the baby is still in your belly:( its depressing after all of that hard work!

Well I can say that as of today I have lost 20 out of the 22 pounds I gained during this pregnancy so I only have two more pounds to go!!!! Plus the bonus is I can fit into my pre pregnancy jeans again!!!!! Yay!!!!!!

Oh and I have my ankles back ha ha!!! Woooo hooooo!!!!

Sister love

I'm so in love!!!! I'm so enjoying watching my girls together:) they will be best friends just like my sister and I are:) there's nothing better in the world!!! You definitely can't take your sister for granted when you only have one!

Our baby girl has arrived :) Lilah Marie Soler was born on Tuesday 11/27/12 at 11:32 am. She was 8 lbs 8 oz and 20 inches long. We are in love with our miracle baby girls and couldn't be happier, our family is complete:)

Luis did such a great job on her Nursery:) we are very happy with the way it turned out:) can't believe we will have her in our arms on Tuesday:) Mia is so excited for her sister to come out:)

11/23/12 Friday midwife appointment

New update:
I'm now dilated to a 3 woooo hooooo!!! She stripped the membranes again!!!!! If Lilah doesn't come on her own before Monday I'm scheduled for an induction Monday night. They will call me Monday to tell me what time to come in. Most likely it will be midnight because its the only opening but if it's slow they will call me in earlier to start the pitocin. So either way we should have Lilah here on Tuesday hopefully if she cooperates that is!!!! I so wanted her to come in her own time:( my induction experience with Mia was horrible!!!! I was trying to avoid that route again with Lilah but it seems like both my girls were in no hurry to leave their happy place:) on a positive note my midwife is on duty Monday night and that hardly ever happens so at least she will be delivering my baby:)

Saddest Thanksgiving EVER!!!!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! In fact it's MY holiday. I host it for my family every year! I stress out weeks before but I absolutely love every part about it! I do my best work under pressure:)

Well things changed this year because Lilah's due date was on Thanksgiving day!!!! So sadly I had to cancel dinner at my house this year and everyone kind of had their own thing going:( we were stuck at home on baby watch, I didn't feel like going anywhere! I was in pain and so uncomfortable with the feeling of pressure and continued contractions.

We are so blessed we have the best support system of family and friends we had many extending offers to have dinner with them. But ultimately decided to stay home. We are especially thankful for my aunt Kristi and our good friends Josh and Veronica who brought thanksgiving dinner to us:) So although it was sad not having my family together at least we got a taste of Thanksgiving dinner after all. Lilah still remains nice and cozy in there, I'm starting to think that she isn't going to come out!!!!!

11/19/12 Monday night false alarm

We went in with smiles and ended up looking like this when we left!!! Lol!!!! It was midnight by the way so we were exhausted.

So I went into labor and delivery Monday night because I had hard contractions every 8 to 10 min lasting 5 min long got to the hospital as soon as they got me in the bed the HARD contractions stopped!!!!! Im still almost a 3! Was told it was still early and i could either walk around the hospital for two hours or I could go home and labor in the comfort of my home. Well of course I chose to go home! So the waiting game continues:(

I have the best husband!

I really do have the best husband! He has been doing so much for me lately trying to make my life as easy as possible while struggling with all of the day to day things, feeling crappy and having contractions. He is such a hard worker and takes such good care of us:) I am so thankful for him especially right now. Its been so bitter sweet spending these last few days just the three of us. Our life as we know it is about to change, and for the better. We are so excited waiting for baby Lilah to join us.

I'm especially thankful for him because he went out on thanksgiving night to find me some Cherry pie with vanilla ice cream! I was craving it like crazy!!! I love you babe :)

Sew, Sew, Sew the time away

I have been staying busy by sewing when I can fit it in that is! Taking breaks during contractions. Sewing is a passion of mine of course I am not a pro by any means but it relaxes me and I really enjoy it. My specialty is baby blankets, lovies and bibs. I am addicted to prints and could spend hours in the fabric aisles of Joann's sipping on my decaf pepermint mocha:) Here are just a few of my latest projects:)

The waiting game continues

Haven't posted in a while, I have been around just super busy and oh yeah dealing with contractions!

WOW so seven days left!!!!!

Here is how I have been progressing:

11/1/12 - Dr Appt - 37 weeks Dilated to a 1 1/2 60% effaced baby's head is down and she can feel it. Contracting regularly some worse than others.

11/9/12 - Dr Appt - 38 weeks Dilated to a 2 still 60% effaced baby's head is still down, I have been leaking clear fluid but was tested and told it wasn't amniotic fluid so thats good:) Contractions are getting stronger.

11/13/12 - Dr Appt - 39 weeks Dilated to a 2 1/2 almost a 3 and 80% effaced baby's head is still down. My midwife stripped my membranes and thinks I will not be pregnant after next week. Also lost my mucous plug another sign she is on her way. Contractions are way stronger, going around my back and they are much lower causing a lot of pressure.

11/22/12 Lilah's Due Date - Thanksgiving day!

11/23/12 - Dr Appt - 40 weeks this is my next appt, my midwife will be out of town:( so I will be seeing a different one. She doesn't think I will be pregnant by this date but I am starting to think that Lilah has different plans. She seems pretty comfortable in there, and though it seems like my body is ready for to come out, I don't think that she is.

Okay just got the results of my 3 hour glucose test and passed all 4 tests!!!! Yay now I can relax a bit, well just a bit because Mia's birthday party is Saturday! Now something new to stress about lol!!!

2 down 2 to go my view for the next 3 hours

I'm sitting here at the lab for my 3 hour glucose test! 2 out of the 4 blood draws done! With this test you have to fast for 12 hours:( it just so happens that my daughter Mia's birthday was yesterday so we celebrated at Disneyland, I had lunch at 1:30 and by the time we left and got out of the parking lot it was past my fasting start time so Lilah (baby in the belly) and I are starving!!!!! She has been kicking up a storm:)

The glucose drink is disgusting and on an empty stomach makes you feel like you are going to throw up!!!!! But guess what? If you throw up you get to do it all over again!!!! Trying hard not to!

Can you say What crap!!!!!!!

So I failed the one hour glucose test which means I'm one of the lucky ones that get to sit through a 3 hour glucose test!!!!!! Yipppppeeeee!

So true!!!

My girlfriend just sent this to me and it was way too cute not to share!!!! I know all of my fertility sisters would agree!!! Love you girls!!!!!

It's a ......!

We are team pink all the way!

So we had our family BBQ to reveal our baby's gender. My dad and step mom had the huge box ready to go! We split our family up in groups of who thought it was a boy VS a girl then opened the box:) pink balloons flew up into the air revealing we were indeed having another baby girl:) Mia is very happy that she is having a little sister!!!! We can't wait to meet this little second miracle of ours:)
