To find out or not to find out?

Having a baby especially after years of torture with infertility is such a blessing! Its a miracle when you finally see that positive pregnancy test!!! When we found out we were pregnant with Mia we didn't want to find out the sex. It killed everyone around us, they wanted to know right away. We stood our ground and always declined when they asked the infamous would like to know the sex of your baby? So we decorated with neutral colors and waited patiently. We had convinced ourselves that it was a boy. The way I was carrying the baby, every old wives tale pointed towards a boy, and every single person that saw me said you are having a boy. So the big day came, after 3 days of labor and 2 hours of pushing, this beautiful baby made an entrance. The nurses stuck around even after their shifts were over because they wanted to know, the room was filled and the midwife says IT'S A GIRL!!!!! My sister and my mom screamed with excitement! Luis and I both said WHAT????? Not that we weren't happy to have this beautiful baby girl in our arms, but after 9 months of thinking it was a boy we were floored!!! It took us about a day to get used to the fact that we now had a baby girl! Of course after 13 years of marriage with no baby you can only imagine the excitement from our friends and family. I kid you not, it wasn't more than a couple hours of announcing that we had a girl when gifts, flowers and balloons filled our hospital room. It was a sea of PINK!!!! Frilly dresses with the ruffles on the butt, and fancy pink blankets. It was hilarious!

With this second pregnancy we originally wanted to wait as well. You just can't beat that feeling in the delivery room the anticipation is thrilling. Just recently Luis suggested something neat. He said when its time to find out lets tell the doctor to put it in an envelope and we will give the envelope to my dad who can keep a secret and a straight face. When we get back from our vacation we are going to have a family/friend bbq for the big reveal!!! My dad will bring a big box and when we open it there will either be pink balloons or blue balloons flying into the sky!!!! After hearing that I was in!!! How fun and exciting for not only us but our family and friends! So hopefully at our next appointment the baby will cooperate and the plan will be set into action!!!! YAY!!! So much to look forward to. Both of our kids will have cute stories about their arrivals:)
